XXXV Planetary Congress of the Association of Space Explorers

The ASE Planetary Congress 2024, scheduled from September 30 to October 4, is poised to be a transformative event in the Netherlands, attracting over 100 astronauts from 38 countries. Anchored in the theme ‘Generation Space – shaping the future together‘ the congress seeks to underscore the pivotal role of space in forging a secure and sustainable future across diverse sectors.

Inspired by the profound words of American astronaut Jim Lovell, who remarked, "We do not realize what we have on Earth until we leave it," the event is dedicated to collective endeavors for a healthy future for Mother Earth and its inhabitants. Collaborating with astronauts, government representatives, youth, and various partners, ASE2024 aspires to make this congress a historic milestone.

The week-long program, centered in Noordwijk, the nucleus of the Dutch space sector, will feature an array of activities, including lectures, panels, and interactive sessions with astronauts. On the designated "Community Day," astronauts will venture into the country, engaging with local communities, universities, schools, and companies.

Special emphasis will be placed on involving the youth through initiatives like Vakkanjers and NL MOONSHOTS '24, with the goal of inspiring and fostering interest in diverse technical professions. The comprehensive program, encompassing cultural events, will be unveiled in early 2024.
