"Do smart devices make us less smart?" - Lecture

On the 25th of June, Sunday, Rijksmuseum Boerhaave and the Lorentz Center will organise a lecture about the impact of smart devices on our intelligence. The lecture will take place in the museum's lecture hall, from 16:30 to 17:30 o'clock.

The lecture is part of the Life Sciences & Health week, a week starting on the 22nd of June and ending on the 29th, where Life Sciences & health institutions will open their doors to the public. The lecture will concern how technological advances have impacted human cognitive abilities. The lecture will cover topics such as temporary vs. long term influence, cognitive vs. motivational influence, and more. Impact is shown in regards to society and research. The lecture will be given by Antony Chemero, Distinguished Research Professor of Philosophy and Psychology at the University of Cincinnati.
