The total floor area of ββthe monumental Marekerk is approximately 400 m2. Due to the fixed wooden pews, the church cannot accommodate more than 500 guests. The pews give a special atmosphere and a nice partition. The Marekerk has a modern sound system that can be used for seminars and other activities. In the winter, the Marekerk can easily be heated.
The Marehuis is adjacent to the Marekerk. It is a beautiful canal house with various meeting rooms, a large kitchen and attic rooms. The largest room can accommodate 65 people in theater style. The main entrance of the Marehuis is 100 meters from the entrance of the Marekerk on the Oude Vest, and the building can also be reached from the church.
The Marehuis is usually rented out only in combination with the church.
The Marekerk is about a 10-minute walk from Leiden Central Station. There is parking for visitors along the Oude Vest, which is free of charge before 9:00 AM and after 9:00 PM. There is a large parking garage on the Langegracht near the Digros supermarket, a few minutes' walk from the church. It is also possible to reach the Oude Vest by boat.
