In the new Naturalis, all parts of the institute are under one roof for the first time. With the development of Naturalis as the Dutch center for biodiversity, the merging of various collections and the growth in the number of researchers and the growth in the number of museum visitors, there was a lack of accommodation.
The new Naturalis offers you the opportunity to organize a business meeting in a unique environment. The Auditorium is located in the heart of the museum and has fantastic acoustics due to its beautiful oak interior. This is the place for a large presentation or conference. The Auditorium has a balcony with which the capacity can be increased as desired. The reception and a break can perfectly take place in the spacious foyer. The imposing Atrium of Naturalis is an excellent location for a large party or dinner. During the day, daylight comes in from all sides and in the evening the glass crown is spectacularly illuminated. The view of the staircase of the museum is also impressive. In the Atrium you close your eyes and there is no shortage of space. In a dining setting, a chic setting with round tables, it is possible to receive 450 people here. In a party setting, without tables, it is possible to invite up to 1100 people.
Or organize a meeting in the LiveScience room, literally and figuratively the showcase of Naturalis, where science, education and visitors come together. The large hall is furnished with enormous shelving units containing hundreds of collection items, with a grandstand in the middle of the hall where people can sit and listen to researchers or other speakers.
