Van der Valk Leiden - Oegstgeest reaches highest point
The construction of the newest Van der Valk Exclusief Hotel Leiden – Oegstgeest is progressing according to plan, and this is becoming increasingly visible. The golden-colored building, with its distinctive organic shape, is already clearly visible on the Leiden skyline from the motorway.
A special milestone has been reached: the highest point of the new-build development has been completed. This marks the near completion of an important phase of construction, and the future hotel is increasingly taking on its final appearance.
The new hotel will enjoy a unique waterfront location on the border of Leiden and Oegstgeest. The property is expected to open its doors in autumn 2027. The building will feature approximately 170 rooms, 12 multifunctional meeting and event spaces, and jetties for boats. The top floor will be home to a wellness area with a swimming pool, offering stunning views across the city.
For Leiden, the arrival of the new location will expand the possibilities for business meetings, conferences and events. Combining a unique location, multifunctional spaces and on-site accommodation, the hotel will provide a valuable new addition to the offering in Leiden and the surrounding region.
Now that the highest point has been reached, the next phase of construction begins: the further completion and fit-out of the building. Step by step, the opening of the new hotel is getting closer.
