The Stadsgehoorzaal Leiden is a monumental location in the center of Leiden. The special building rests on the foundations of the Sint Catharina Gasthuis from 1276. The adjacent Waalse Kerk is the original chapel of the guest house.

The Stadsgehoorzaal was built in the 19th century as a concert hall in an impressive Neo-Renaissance style, which is rare in the Netherlands. The facade with colonnade gives the building a special allure. Of the original interior, the paneling and balconies in the Grote Zaal and the entire interior of the Breezaal have been preserved. The building was originally built as a concert hall, but i also serves as a beautiful conference or party location now. The Great Hall, with its acclaimed acoustics, has a flexible floor and removable seats. This makes it easy to transform a conference location into a great party space. For example, it is possible to combine a substantive program with a chic dinner or large party in the same building. Part of the stage is adjustable in height, which offers surprising possibilities. The wide circles around the Great Hall are ideal for poster presentations.

The classic Breezaal, with the atmosphere of a Viennese ballroom, is a wonderful location for receptions or an atmospheric dinner. The Aalmarktzaal is adjacent to the rear of the Grote Zaal and can be connected to the other rooms to form one large location. The Aalmarktzaal with its foyers can also be used as a stand-alone location due to its own entrance. The golden hall itself offers a beautiful view of the old town through the large windows that can be darkened and is very suitable for lectures, seminars and concerts.

The Stadsgehoorzaal can also be combined with the Leidse Schouwburg. These locations are within walking distance of each other. Both locations are certified with the Golden Green Key. The Stadsgehoorzaal is located on the water (back), right in the center of Leiden, about a 10-minute walk from Leiden Central Station. A unique parking system with free shuttle buses brings visitors from parking location Haagweg in front of the door in a few minutes.
