This conference provides humanities researchers from various fields with the opportunity to share, present, and discuss their research in an international and interdisciplinary context.

During this conference, keynote lectures will be delivered by Caroline Dodds Pennock, Senior Lecturer in International History at the University of Sheffield, and Nidesh Lawtoo, Professor of Modern/Contemporary European Literature and Culture at Leiden University.

This intercultural and interhistorical conference poses the question: how do we shape the world through narratives, and how do these narratives, in turn, impact us? Narratives have played a role in preserving shared cultural memory, generating knowledge, and molding identity. How do stories and storytelling function within society as bonds between communities or bridges between generations? How can we uncover underrepresented voices and challenge established narratives related to gender, race, colonialism, and anthropocentrism? With the rise of social media and the increase in 'fake news' and post-truth politics, the boundaries between story and reality have become increasingly blurred, expanding the scope of research in this field.
