Leiden/Bielefeld Workshop on Comparative Syntax

The program spans two days, May 23rd and 24th, at different venues. Day 1 features keynote speeches and discussions on topics like verb placement and clausal word order. It includes panels on theoretical approaches to variation and methodology/resources, with speakers exploring field methods, TerraLing, microvariation, and quantitative methods. Day 2 continues with presentations on topics ranging from the syntax of gender features to cross-linguistic variation in sluicing. It ends with discussions on subjects like Pro Drop and the morphological structure of inflection.
