Have your blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar measured on 4 and 5 March. You can visit Huis van de Buurt Het Gebouw between 10:00 and 16:00 for a free check-up. No appointment is necessary; just walk in.
The Heart Checkpoint is offered by the Heart Foundation, in collaboration with Leren met de Stad (Learning with the City). Students from various vocational training programmes, including Doctor's Assistant and Sport & Exercise, will then offer you the opportunity to discuss your lifestyle, under the guidance of an experienced teacher.
After your visit, you will have insight into your heart health and know what steps you can take to improve it. Every visitor receives a free information booklet containing, among other things, the results of the measurement, an explanation of what you can do if your values are elevated, and useful tips for a healthy lifestyle.

With the Heart Checkpoints, the Heart Foundation travels to community centres, libraries and other accessible locations throughout the United Kingdom. Although the heart check is primarily intended for people between the ages of 40 and 70, everyone is welcome. Many people aged 40 and older have an elevated risk of cardiovascular disease without knowing it. Even if you have no symptoms, early detection can make a big difference. A healthy lifestyle can prevent many problems.
