LHSC Knowledge Café #8: Planetary Health

How do we ensure a healthy living environment for everyone? LHSC explores this at the 8th edition of its Knowledge Cafe, which offers the opportunity to exchange knowledge, brainstorm solutions, and take initiative to support the health and well-being of Leiden’s citizens.

This edition of the Leiden Healthy Society Center (LHSC) Knowledge Cafe has the vital theme of public health and its connection to our environment. Our health is intertwined with the health of nature, and issues like heat waves and air pollution disproportionately affect vulnerable communities. At the Cafe, you will explore how we may create a healthier living environment for all while narrowing the health gap in our city.

The Knowledge Cafe is for everyone in Leiden who is concerned for the well-being of the city or themselves. Health organisations, companies, educational facilities, and, most importantly, citizens! The program ill kick off with an engaging plenary session on planetary health, followed by three parallel discussions on heat-resilient neighborhoods, combating respiratory diseases, and Hub Green Care Education. All are welcome to register, attend, and join the discussion!
