Are you looking for inspiring and unique venues for your next conference or event, but not sure where to start? Step into the world of Leiden during our FAM trip, organised by Leiden Convention Bureau. 

This year, we invite you to join us for a unique day of discovery with a gamification twist: explore our partners, venues and the many possibilities Leiden has to offer, while experiencing the city in an interactive way. From charming canals and historic courtyards to innovative conference venues, world-renowned museums, and the vibrant atmosphere of our university city - you will experience it all. 

Be inspired by the creativity, hospitality, and opportunities in Leiden has to offer. And discover why Leiden was meant to be for your next event.

The programme

  • 10:00 Welcome speech by LCB at Brasserie Rumour
  • 11:00 Lunch at the Hooglandse Kerk
  • 12:00 Start of the Leiden game, among other places at Stadsgehoorzaal
  • 16:00 Drinks with Leiden partners and game award ceremony

Looking back at FAMtrip 2024

Last year's FAM Trip was a fantastic success!

Together, we discovered why Leiden is known as the City of Science. We started the day with a warm welcome at Naturalis Biodiversity Centre.

After a sunny walk, we continued to the Biotech Training Facility, where we were given a behind-the-scenes tour of the impressive life science laboratories. This was followed by a special journey through the human body at the CORPUS Congress Centre. After lunch in the Intestines meeting room, we headed into the city centre for a tour of Leiden's canals and historical treasures. One of the highlights was a visit to the Leidse Schouwburg-Stadsgehoorzaal, which provided an inspiring tour including a theatre sports session by Moeders Mooiste.

We ended the day with a convivial reception at Scheltema Leiden, where our city partners opened their doors and we were able to explore the diverse event spaces.
