The 3rd Biannual IPFA/EBA Symposium on Plasma Collection and Supply held on 7-8 February 2024, was a resounding success in the city of Leiden. Sophie Sanders, senior project manager and organizer of the symposium carefully selected this small city for its captivating allure and accessibility. Leiden often hailed as the city of science, proved to be the perfect match to host this event.

The event was hosted at the Stadsgehoorzaal which Sophie described as an " amazing venue with dedicated staff". The spaciousness of the venue and the delightful ambiance of the cafe provided an ideal setting for networking, making the overall experience memorable. Sophie was also pleased with the help she received from the Leiden Convention Bureau, especially in finding the perfect venue.

Leiden's variety of venues and cultural attractions within walking distance further enhanced the symposium's appeal. Participants were delighted not only by the intellectual stimulation of the event but also by the opportunity to explore the city's rich heritage and vibrant atmosphere.

As a result of the positive experience, Sophie noted that many attendees expressed their desire to return to visit Leiden with their families!
